The Art of Sourdough: Focaccia Decorating Class

BEGINNER LEVEL SOURDOUGH MAKING CLASS

Unleash your creativity in our Beginner Sourdough Focaccia Decorating Class! Perfect for beginners or anyone eager to learn the basics of sourdough baking, this 2-hour workshop is a fun and festive introduction to the world of artisan bread. Held in Pompano Beach, FL, the class is open to ages 14 and up (with each participant requiring their own ticket). No prior baking experience is needed—just come ready to learn, create, and enjoy!

We are SO excited to be pairing with another local business - Aroma Joe’s Coffee House, for this event!

During the class, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process of making sourdough focaccia, from understanding the dough to mastering baking techniques. Then, you’ll use an assortment of vibrant vegetables, herbs and edible decorations to design your very own sourdough focaccia!

All supplies and materials are provided, including tools, focaccia dough and decorative elements. Snacks and drinks will also be available for purchase to keep your energy up while you learn and decorate! At the end of the class, you’ll leave with your beautifully crafted focaccia and the confidence to recreate the experience at home.

2. Sourdough starter kit with fresh active sourdough starter, wooden spoon, glass jar
3. Apron to wear during class

5. Instructions for maintaining sourdough starter at home

   ** Please note, you will be taking your decorated focaccia to bake in your home oven! There is no oven on site at our location. Instructions will be given and gone over before you leave the class!
