About the event:

Did you know that investments in compost spreading equipment can now count toward part of your jurisdiction’s procurement target?

If an equipment purchase is something you’re considering, this workshop will help prepare you to identify equipment needs, choose the most appropriate equipment, and count all or part of that purchase toward your 2025 procurement target, and get you familiar with the equipment involved through a live equipment demonstration.

*Space is limited to 45 people. Sign up soon!

Attendees will learn about:

  • the new procurement rules established by AB 2346,
  • the different ways compost can be used to support management of parks, sports fields, and other landscapes,
  • exciting new research showing the effects of compost application on soil carbon sequestration and other co-benefits, and
  • the reality and logistics involved in spreading compost on turf
  • the variety of equipment available

Who should attend: Anyone who manages parks and other landscapes in a jurisdiction or who works on compliance with SB 1383 procurement requirements.
