Chapter Meeting

We’re thrilled to welcome Shawn Miya, Assistant Director of Sustainability for the City of Bloomington! Shawn will share how Bloomington worked with NOAA and CAPA Strategies to map urban heat islands—revealing the city’s hottest spots and how data-driven solutions are helping protect residents from extreme heat.

Afterward, we’ll discuss future collaborations with student chapters across Indiana and brainstorm a potential late fall/early winter chapter event.
