Celebrate Juneteenth in Pittsfield!
Join us for this year’s Juneteenth celebration—honoring Black independence, resilience, and culture—beginning with the raising of the Juneteenth flag and the reading of proclamations at Pittsfield City Hall, followed by a Freedom Walk to Durant Park.
Once at Durant Park, the day-long festival kicks off at noon with food, entertainment, vendors, and community partners. The celebration includes:
- Reading of the Juneteenth Proclamation
- Student scholarship presentations
- Unveiling of a mural honoring the 54th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment—the first volunteer Black regiment raised in the North
Entertainment Highlights:
-🏀 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament with Jerome Edgerton
-🎤💃🕺 Live music and dance performances on the main stage
-🎧 DJ YoungChamp spinning throughout the day
Family activities include a bouncy house, crafts, face painting, and storytime
Free ice cream will be available for children, and a free lunch will be provided to all fathers in attendance.
