Brevard, NC - Estatoe Trail Walk and Picnic

The Amblers will be doing the Brevard Estatoe Trail on September 9. We will meet in the Lowe’s Home Improvement Store parking lot, 119 Ecusta Road, Brevard, NC. We will gather at 9:00 am with a step off of 9:30. Both a 5 and 10 KM option will be offered. Both are rated 1B. The walk includes shaded walk along the Davidson River, a nature trail and quiet peaceful scenes. Due to Helene, some detours off the original trail are required - nothing serious - on each of the options.

Directions: From Asheville take I-26 to Exit 40 onto US 280 South and stay on route to Lowe’s on your left.

After the walk, we'll have a bring-your-own lunch in the Dolly's Dairy Bar and Gift Shop picnic area. (Dolly's has the best ice cream). Dolly’s is located at 128 Pisgah Hwy; Pisgah Forest, NC. A sandwich shop is close by.

At the picnic we will elect a new treasurer and secretary. Both the incumbents, Sue Colbath and Robert Cooper, are willing to remain in these positions. We still need a VP. Anyone interested please raise your hand at the picnic.
