FCMGC June 28th GPR and Documentation Volunteer Event

We are partnering with the Gulf Archaeology Research Institute (GARI) to identify sunken gravesites at Crystal Memorial Gardens Cemetery. We have already identified over 20 gravesites by cleaning and hand probing over the last two years. So far, we excavated ten gravesites.

On Saturday, June 28th (9am to 1pm), we will start Ground Penetrating Radar scanning the larger areas (that are too large to cover by hand probing) and continue to document gravesites. We are seeking volunteers to help with our efforts.
