Belleville author, visual artist, musician and recording artist, Robert Owens, will be attending the afternoon for select readings, and sign copies, of his 120 page book published in 2025,“Yamas and Niyamas of Higher Consciousness - How to Seize Control of Your Life’s Destiny.”
Yamas and Niyamas are Sanskrit words that speak to the spiritual connections, the higher consciousnesses, of Yoga, Tao, and Buddhist Meditation. Robert brings to life, through his text and art, the often neglected but practical physical and noetic science exercises that can raise your awareness for loving and living.
He blends the wisdom of Bhagavad-Gita, the Yoga Sutras of Pantanjali, and the limbs of Buddhism into 120 pages of the “Yamas Niyamas of Higher Consciousness.” Each of the ten chapters concludes with suggested experiments for self-exploration, or group study, including summaries of the Yamas and Niyamas.
Written for the layperson looking for physical, mental, spiritual practices to align their higher consciousness, Robert’s love of ancient lore combined with his range of personal mystical experiences stitch together a tapestry of Indigenous, Asian, and African stories with a clarity of higher purpose.
