Pickens County 4-H Monarch Butterfly Program

🦋 Join the Magic of Monarchs! 🦋

Step into the incredible world of butterflies with the Pickens County 4-H Monarch Butterfly Program! Youth will experience the full monarch lifecycle up close — from tiny caterpillars to magnificent butterflies — and help support vital pollinator habitats.

🌿 Activities include:

A Monarch Butterfly Garden Installation Workshop May 31, 9:30-11:00am

Twice Weekly Monarch Butterfly Program Meetings 10:30-11:30AM June 27 and 30, July 7, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, and 31.

• Observing live monarch caterpillars
• Releasing butterflies into our pollinator garden
• Garden scavenger hunt
• Butterfly crafts and journaling fun!

🌸 Perfect for young nature lovers and future conservationists, this hands-on program will inspire wonder and teach the importance of protecting pollinators.

Ages 5-18 welcome.

Membership requirement: Current 4-H membership in is required for participation in this event.

Custodial Care: Please note that this event and its coordinators do not assume custodial care of youth in attendance. Adults (parents, guardians, volunteers, coaches, or chaperones) must be present for the supervision of youth participants.
