Youth Beginner Braiding Class

This class is specifically designed to teach young entrepreneurs the basics of hair braiding. I started braiding hair in high school, and from there, I was able to build a career out of it. Now, I want to share my knowledge and train the next generation of successful hair braiders in this evolving, thriving beauty industry.

Total investment of the course is $200. General admission deposit is $50, which secures the ticket. The remaining $150 balance is due at at the entrance upon entering the venue.

The course is scheduled for April 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Snacks, refreshments, and lunch will be provided. Children are welcome to bring additional snacks or lunch for the day.

The course will begin with a lecture covering scalp health, different braiding techniques, and a brief history of braiding. Afterward, there will be a live demonstration of braiding techniques on a model. Following the demonstration, each child will have one-on-one time to learn, ask questions, and practice braiding techniques on their mannequins. There will be breaks between each lesson.

We encourage the children to network with each other, as there may be opportunities to form lasting friendships. Parents will receive updates throughout the day and are welcome to pop in and watch their child in action.

There will be a live photographer in session.
