Experiments in Shade series, this installation provides not only heat relief but also a powerful educational experience, inspired by the wisdom of Indigenous ancestors who harnessed the abundance of the desert for survival and community well-being.

Designed to unite and inspire, Shades of Resilience incorporates words and symbols from Indigenous elders, intricate patterns inspired by native desert plants, and a harmonious blend of new technologies with ancestral techniques. The structure offers cooling shade while encouraging visitors to reflect on the deep connection between culture, sustainability, and environmental resilience. This unique artwork creates a space where culture and climate come together, offering both physical comfort and a contemplative experience.
