Eric Alterman and his band Universe Parade is a dynamic and evolving collaboration between Portland-based singer songwriter and guitarist Eric Alterman and his rotating musical partners, who infuse his songs with elements of folk, jazz, and Brazilian rhythm. Alterman’s poetic songwriting tells vivid stories and evokes deep emotional landscapes, drawing inspiration from nature and dreams, love and heartbreak, and travels and spiritual seeking.

His self-described Tropi-Cascadia folk music bridges the musical worlds he has experienced, from New York City and Rio de Janeiro, to Portland OR.

Alongside his songwriting, Eric Alterman maintains an active career as a cellist, performing with the Delgani String Quartet, and Eugene Symphony.

Featuring special guest artist David Campbell on trumpet.
