Come on down to Sickler Farm on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time for the first TVCD Grazing Outreach Field Day.
Experts from TVCD, WVU Extension, and NRCS will be there to share hands-on grazing tips and talk about ways to make your land and livestock work smarter, not harder.
You'll get to see good grazing practices in action, swap ideas with other farmers, and hear from folks who’ve spent their lives working with grass, soil, and cattle.
There’ll be refreshments, and stick around for a door prize drawing with giveaways like soil tests, forage tests, soil probes, and hand-held seeders.
This event is sponsored by the WV Department of Agriculture, WVU Extension, NRCS, the WV Association of Conservation Districts, and the Appalachian Grazing Conference, supporting efforts to bring valuable grazing outreach to local producers.
This is the first of two field days TVCD has planned for this summer. The second one will be held on Saturday, September 6th, and the location is still to be determined.
