Vogue 101 w/ Jahad Martin

This session will be a Vogue 101 breakdown—a one-hour program covering the elements of Vogue as well as a brief introduction to our rich ballroom history. It’s an educational and interactive experience rooted in culture, empowerment, and movement.



ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

Jahad Martin (he/him) is a Philadelphia-based ballroom commentator, community organizer, and educator with over a decade of experience in the ballroom scene. He is a recognized Legend in the Kiki scene and a respected Statement in the Mainstream ballroom community.

Jahad has collaborated with organizations like Red Bull and The Posse Foundation, and served as a community advocate through his work with Mazzoni Center and various youth empowerment initiatives.

His work is rooted in cultural celebration, LGBTQ+ visibility, and grassroots impact. Whether he’s behind the mic or leading a workshop, Jahad brings energy, knowledge, and authenticity grounded in movement, history, and pride.
