AUTOMAT Artist Meetup

Join us for a special closing event celebrating Refracted Viscera, an immersive, cross-disciplinary exhibition exploring queer and femme embodiment through the intersection of materiality and digital experimentation. As the show comes to a close, we invite artists, organizers, and community members working across media to come together in conversation.

This is a casual event designed for artists interested in installation, multimedia practices, and collaboration across disciplines. Featuring artist talks by Eva Wu, Lauren Bradshaw, Theo Trotter, and Katie Hubbell, alongside reflections from curator Zoe McCarthy, we’ll dive into the practices of each artist, and the process behind the show.

Following the talks, we’ll open the floor for a community discussion about building collaborative networks in Philadelphia’s art scene. What do we need to support dynamic, experimental work? What resources, spaces, or connections are missing, specifically for artists working in new media? The hope is that this space will present opportunities to share your visions and find the support that you need to bring them to life.
