Piccolo - with violinist Tamaki Higashi

Our June Piccolo performer will be violinist Tamaki Higashi, who has played at Piccolo twice before, most recently at our birthday concert in September last year. At her previous concerts Tamaki has introduced us to some well-known classical violin pieces but she has also added a Japanese twist with music from Studio Ghibli films and some traditional Japanese children's songs.

As ever, doors open at 10am and the music starts at 10.30. Admission is £4 per adult, accompanied by one or more children under five and £2 per child. There are free refreshments (tea/coffee/squash and biscuits) for all. Additional donations for the refreshments are welcome.

Piccolo is an (almost) monthly concert for young children, held in St John's Church in the centre of Peterborough at 10.30am on the first Thursday of the month. Each concert lasts approximately an hour; usually the last ten minutes are songs or dances that the children can join in on, with singing, actions, and an instrument from our box of unbreakable child-friendly musical instruments. Piccolo has been running since September 2015 and takes place every month except in January and August.
