This Thursday is our annual Piccolo + Picnic, when after our concert we go outside the church and have a picnic on the grass in St John's Square. The weather forecast for the picnic looks promising as the heatwave should be over, but it will still be sunny and warm.
This year we have the same two wonderful musicians to entertain us as we did last year: flautist Dana Morgan will be joined by pianist Charles Matthews. But, instead of going home at 11.30, join us outside the church on the grass of St John's Square as we share our annual Piccolo picnic. There will definitely be home made cake, but if you can, then please bring something to share. (In the unlikely event the weather is horrible then we will have our picnic in the church instead.)
There is no Piccolo in August, so the next Piccolo after this Thursday's will be on 4th September.
As ever, doors open at 10am and the music starts at 10.30. Admission is £4 per adult and £2 per child. There are free refreshments (tea/coffee/squash and biscuits) for all. Additional donations for the refreshments are welcome!
Piccolo is an (almost) monthly concert for young children, held in St John's Church in the centre of Peterborough. Each concert lasts approximately an hour; usually the last ten minutes are songs or dances that the children can join in on, with singing, actions, and an instrument from our box of unbreakable child-friendly musical instruments.
