The Auskick Year 2 Festival of Football will on Sunday 24 August 2025, at Des Penman Reserve, Nollamara (Auskick Week #14), generally starting from approx. 9.00am until 3pm.
All Year 2 teams will be provided with their fixtures closer to the event. Last year, our teams played between 1pm and 3pm
The Festival of Footy is a wonderful event where our Year 2 teams play against other local clubs, participate in footy drills & activities, with group activities run by staff and entertainment provided by WA Football.
This event is similar to the Auskick Gala Days (that PP & Year 1 teams attend) but is for Year 2 teams only! It's an end of season and end of Auskick carnival for Year 2 Auskickers. More details, timings & fixtures of games will be advised closer to the start of Rookie Series & Festival of Football event.
As Year 2 is the third & final year of the Auskick program, the event acts as a graduation carnival for the program! For the three weeks leading up to the Festival of Footy, the Year 2 teams participate in the Rookie Series.
The Auskick Rookie Series is designed to bridge the gap between Year 2 Auskick this season and get players ready to move and join our junior Football Modified program in 2026. (The junior program next year is often referred to as Year 3 "Mods").
The Rookie program is aimed at enhancing the transition experience for children by offering opportunities to participate in games against nearby clubs in a "home and away" format.
The Rookie Series program runs over 3 weeks, with some games will be played away at the Whitford JFC, who we have been matched with, and some games played at home at Kingsley JFC, on Saturday mornings in the following Auskick weeks.

*Week # 13 – Sat 16 August 2025
We will provide all Year 2 players and families more details regarding the Rookie Series & Festival of Footy in coming weeks.
Please make note, the Festival of Footy will be held on SUNDAY 24 August. There will be no Auskick session for Year 2's on Saturday 23 August.
