Head along to the Walled Garden in Perth for a taste of their newly opened café and a wander around the garden at your own pace.
Join Rainbow Heartlands LGBTQ+ on a group outing to The Walled Garden & Café in Perth, making their way up from the city centre on a Friday afternoon on the week of the reopening of their café. Gathering at Perth Theatre Café to begin, the group will make their way up to the Walled Garden, arriving around 2.15pm. The visit will include a walk around the garden grounds, as well as a stop into the café for a cuppa and maybe even cake! We will also meet some of the team at the garden along the way who can tell you more about what they do in both the garden and creative studios. Accessibility The walk is on pavement the whole way, though there is small hill climb on the way up to the Walled Garden. Alternatively, you can meet the group there and parking is available on site and bus services 11 & 12 (Stagecoach East Scotland) also serve Muirhall Road , next to the entrance of the garden.
The garden does have specified paths around the perimeter, whilst the central areas are grassed or have existing plant and vegetable plots. There may be some uneven parts, and you are advised to make your way around at your own pace.
There is level access and a ramp into the café, and the whole inside is level too. Toilets are in the same building.
We will be walking back into the city centre after our visit, so you would be able to join us, and we will finish back outside Perth Theatre on Mill Street.
If you have any accessibility requirements, please let us know and we can advise staff on this where necessary beforehand. Please email
