Join Archie Moore, renowned Kamilaroi/Bigambul artist and guest judge for the Dr Harold Schenberg Arts Awards, as he shares an artist talk to mark the opening weekend of the 'Hatched: National Graduate Show 2025'. A former 'Hatched' alum, Moore will share insights into the development and presentation of his Golden Lion-awarded Venice Biennale work, 'kith and kin' (2024). Moore works across a range of media and is well-known for his research-driven practice that often combines historical examinations with personal reflections to address the lived experience of Indigenous Australians. His ongoing interests include key signifiers of identity (skin, language, smell, home, genealogy, flags), the borders of intercultural understanding and misunderstanding, and the wider concerns of racism.
