2022 saw smokey voiced, human dynamo, Elles Bailey, unveil her 3rd album, ‘Shining in the Half Light. ‘Shining’ has been massively successful both critically & commercially, propelling Elles to her rightful position at the forefront of the UK Blues & Americana scenes. ‘Shining In The Half Light’ debuted at the top of her native genre charts: #1 Official Blues Charts; #2 Official Americana Charts; & #4 Official Indie Charts. In a landmark breakthrough for an indie artist, ‘Shining’ also appeared on the radar of the UK Official Album Charts Charts, reaching #11 in the mid-weeks, & finishing a few sales away from the UK’s Top 40 at #42. Off the back of the record’s success, Elles has enjoyed a breakout year. She won Artist & Live Act Of The Year at the prestigious UK Americana Awards 2023 at a star studded ceremony at The Hackney Empire. She also picked up a hattrick of awards at The UK Blues Awards : Artist Of The Year; Vocalist Of The Year; & Album Of The Year for Shining. Elles released 5 singles from Shining, & all garnered support from BBC R2 & Planet Rock. Four of the singles made the Planet Rock A playlist, achieving 20 weeks collectively at the top spot on the UK Airplay Charts. The title track was premiered by Cerys Matthews with an interview with Elles on the Radio 2 Blues Show. Impressively, Elles’ success on Planet Rock lead to her being offered a weekly show & you can now hear Elles every Saturday on Planet Rock, sharing her love of Rock & Americana.
