Every Tuesday in July, join us for a different interactive program designed to make learning about money fun!
July 1: Join us for Piggy Bank Theater! An interactive storytime where the audience will help our young characters build childhood interests into careers, making financial choices along the way! All participants will receive a cardboard piggy bank to take home while supplies last.
Recommended ages: 3-8 years
July 8: Join us for Currency Conga! Let the currency spinner decide your next move as you build up your currency recognition and money math skills! All participants will receive a cardboard piggy bank to take home while supplies last.
Recommended ages: 5-9 years
July 15: Join us for Making Mooo-lah! Work together on a life-size game board to see if you can run a financially successful farm! All participants will receive a cardboard piggy bank to take home while supplies last.
Recommended ages: 6-12 years
July 22: Join us for Penny Pinchers' Party! Become a party planner, help your client stay on budget, and work to be the Party Champion who throws the most entertaining event! All participants will receive a cardboard piggy bank to take home while supplies last.
Recommended ages: 6-12 years
July 29: Join us for Pet Cents! Adopt a pet, take on the financial responsibilities of pet ownership, and reach your goal of meeting all of your pet's needs on a budget! All participants will receive a cardboard piggy bank to take home while supplies last.
Recommended ages: 8-12 years
This program is brought to you by the Thinking Money for Kids Grant through ALA and FINRA. This grant helps to provide engaging kids programs about financial education through age-appropriate play. Designed and vetted by children's librarians and financial experts.
