"Memphis," the musical, tells the story of Huey Calhoun, a white radio DJ in 1950s Memphis, who falls in love with Felicia Farrell, a black singer, and champions her music, breaking racial barriers on the radio and beyond. Their love and the power of music clash with the segregation of the time, leading to challenges for their relationship and Felicia's career. The musical explores the themes of overcoming segregation, the transformative power of music of 1950s America.
