The Woolverstones

The Woolverstones, an alternative folk duo formed in late 2019, are steadily carving out a name for themselves on the international folk scene. Their debut single "A Song For Harlequins"—hailed as a "Folk Masterpiece" by Laurel Canyon Radio—garnered radio play across the UK, North America, and beyond, drawing praise from icons like The Byrds and members of Woodstock legends Country Joe and the Fish.Their critically acclaimed debut album "Grey Eyed Dandy" (2022), produced by legendary producer John Wood (Nick Drake, John Martyn, Richard & Linda Thompson), earned praise from critics, and one track from the album was named "Track of the Week" on BBC Introducing. The title track "Grey Eyed Dandy" was also featured on Fruits de Mer Records' 2025 compilation, In The Year 2025, further cementing the duo’s place in the modern folk landscape.

Fresh off major performances at Cambridge Folk Festival, a UK headline tour, and international dates across Hungary, Ireland, Germany, and Italy, The Woolverstones continue to enchant audiences with their cinematic songwriting and harmony-rich sound. They’ve supported folk luminaries including Malcolm Le Maistre (The Incredible String Band) and Leo O’Kelly (Tír na nÓg), and performed at iconic venues like The Troubadour, The Horn, and The Dublin Castle.
With new material on the horizon, The Woolverstones are proving that modern folk can be both deeply rooted and boldly forward-looking.
