Theo Lear channels his acoustic roots and a deep connection to the coast through the vivid lens of the modern world. Though steeped in melancholy, Theo’s music ultimately looks outward with a quiet, unwavering hope. With over ten years of experience performing and recording music across the UK in various groups, Theo is now set to showcase his solo work—both on record and live with his accomplished band. His music offers a distinctive blend of introspective lyricism and dynamic instrumental storytelling.

After over seven years working as an artist in Leeds, Theo began 2025 by relocating to his birth place of Mousehole, Cornwall. Opting for simpler living and familiar wild coastlines, Theo intends to celebrate his underrepresented Celtic home through his art.

Theo Lear’s first single, Sweet Teeth and its accompanying music video (watch here) was released via Mahogany Songs on July 30th. He describes his second single as a heartbreak bop. Something to make you dance and cry. The Hope Of Trying will be released on August 27th.

Theo Lear will be performing solo at the The Wren & Raven as they host their first live music event since opening in June.

Susannah Sail will also be performing with her stripped back duo.
