For newcomer families home-based learning can be a struggle.
As many are parents challenged to learn a new language and settle in Canada, some children are unable to get proper support with their academic studies.
Homework Club pairs students (age 5-15) with a SOICS Volunteer Virtual Tutor (age 15-25).
**SOICS' VOLUNTEER VIRTUAL TUTOR**
Meet for 1 hr/week, and help children of newcomer families:
✅ Give back to your community & become a champion for learning
✅ Practice soft skills; learn the Zoom online meeting platform
✅ Contribute to the development of children & youth
**PARENTS & STUDENTS**
Supported by SOICS, you can get help with your studies (from home) with:
