Dixon After Hours Presents "Lion King JR"

The king of the jungle meets the king of Broadway in the Dixon After Hours (DAH) Performing Arts Academy's musical presentation of "The Lion King JR." June 27-29.

Disney’s "The Lion King" has captured imaginations around the world, and the Dixon After Hours production of "Lion King JR" will be performed June 27-29 at Dixon School of Arts & Sciences, 1201 North H St. in Pensacola, at 6 p.m. June 27th, 2 pm and 6 pm on June 28th and 2pm on June 29th.

Directed by Angie West with music direction by Ethan Middleton and Jermen Kidd, "The Lion King JR." tells the story of Simba, a young lion prince, who is destined to become king of the Pride Lands. However, his evil uncle Scar murders Simba's father and usurps the throne, forcing Simba into exile. Simba eventually returns to confront Scar and reclaim his rightful place as king, while also finding love with Nala and forming unlikely friendships with Timon and Pumbaa.
