This Tender Loving Care (TLC): Holistic Caring for the Dying Education Course is certified by the Soul Midwives School, Dorset and recently commissioned by the NHS England with outstanding feedback.
The course is beautifully crafted for individuals who are caring for loved ones with a life limiting condition, anyone in caregiving roles, and for friends who are interested in becoming an end-of-life Doula/ Soul Midwife.
This course equips you with the knowledge, skills, and a compassionate approach necessary to provide holistic support to calm, comfort and reassure during a very difficult time of life.
Led by experienced Soul Midwives who are passionate about improving end-of-life care; this ONE-DAY, IN-PERSON course will build connections with like-minded individuals, learn valuable skills, and leave with increased confidence in your ability to support others during their most vulnerable moments.
The course consists of 4 nourishing modules - all weaved in to a nurturing day of self-care, support and reflection.
1)
Understanding the Four Stages of Dying:
Gain insights into the holistic framework surrounding death and dying. Learn to recognize what to expect in each stage and how to offer comfort and reassurance to individuals and their families.
2)
Soul Midwife Toolbox:
Explore practical tools and techniques specifically designed for holistic end-of-life care. Discover effective methods to provide emotional and physical support, including soothing and therapeutic touch that promotes relaxation.
3)
Deep Listening and Tender Conversations:
Learn the art of compassionate communication with guidance on how to engage in difficult yet vital conversations. Learn to provide emotional and spiritual support by fostering openness and connection during sensitive discussions.
4)
Facilitating Bedside Vigils:
Understand how to create a compassionate and sacred space for individuals as they approach their final moments. This training empowers you to facilitate a gentle dying process that respects the dignity of the individual.
