About the event

Juneteenth Citizen Soldier Ceremony
Join us on Juneteenth as we read General Order No. 3, announcing freedom to the formerly enslaved in Texas, and lay a wreath at the foot of the GAR Statue (near the corner of Baker Street and South Ocean Avenue) in Patchogue, NY. Members of the 67th NY Long Island Volunteers will fire an honor salute. This event is free and open to the public.
