The coconut industry is a vital pillar of Philippine agriculture, supporting millions of farmers and contributing to exports. This seminar will present an overview of the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), highlighting how strategic investments and facilities can transform coconut farming into a more profitable and sustainable venture. The seminar will also include informative sessions on PhilMech initiatives, good agricultural practices, and opportunities in:
🥥 Virgin coconut oil processing
🥥 White copra drying
🥥 Coconut sugar processing
🥥 Coco peat, coir, and geonets shared processing
🥥 Integrated white copra and cooking oil processing
🥥 Coconut water processing
PhilMech experts will share how these facilities and interventions create opportunities for farmers and cooperatives, improve processing efficiency, and strengthen value chains in coconut-producing regions.
In line with Agrilink 2025’s theme, “Logistics: The Key to an Efficient Market and Value Chain,” the seminar will show how coconut farmers can benefit from improved post-harvest handling, modern processing, and market linkages—reducing waste while increasing profitability.
