This July, LA Chess Social is popping up at one of the most vibrant and unexpected venues we’ve ever collaborated with: Chak De — an iconic Indian lounge and bar known for its late-night energy, bold design, and unbeatable hospitality.
We’re bringing all the elements you know and love—live chess games that range from friendly to fierce, a crowd full of character, and the kind of music that keeps the atmosphere buzzing—but this time, in a space built for nightlife. Neon lights, pulsing energy, and a few surprises throughout the night.
No need to bring a board—we’ll have plenty on hand. Come solo or bring a crew, play casually or throw down in blitz. Whether you’re in it for the chess or the chaos, this is your mid-summer chance to see what happens when the city’s most social chess club drops into one of LA’s most original venues.
In addition to three spectacular bands, we are also excited to have a spectacular visial artist and projectionist as well as a free a characature artist!
