Join PMH Curator of History & Exhibitions Julia Long on this Exploring Pasadena on Foot walking tour.
Pasadena grew rapidly at the beginning of the 20th century. Magnificent resort hotels attracted visitors from near and far, inspiring some to stay. On this tour, we’ll explore some of the earliest residential subdivisions, including Westmoreland Place and Prospect Park. Lined with majestic camphor trees, Prospect Park boasts houses designed by some of the era's most celebrated architects, including Wallace Neff, Myron Hunt, and even Frank Lloyd Wright. We’ll stroll through the Arroyo Terrace neighborhood and its many Greene & Greene residences. You’ll learn about the fascinating (and sometimes quirky) people who called this area home, as well as the architecture and botanical environment of these neighborhoods overlooking the Arroyo Seco.
This tour begins and ends at Pasadena Museum of History (470 W. Walnut Street, Pasadena, CA 91103).
Please note: This walking tour features a steep incline/decline.
Space is limited; advance reservations required.
