Elegant Dances of the Jazz Age (& Avalon Ball Prep)

Come learn the free, easy and elegant social dances of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. Learn the dances you see in all those old movies - and to help you along, the program will feature film clips from those old movies, showing how people actually danced.

These will be dances that blend well with cocktail sipping and stylish evening wear.

The dances will include the Foxtrot, Waltz and Tango. These will be all you need to get out on the floor at the Avalon Ball in May, or at any Jazz Age social dance event. Walter Nelson will be your instructor.

This is a beginner-friendly program, though it will also provide the information an experienced dancer would need to give their dancing an authentic, period flavor.

The cost is $20, payable at the door (cash please). No reservations required. No partner required, vintage style clothing appreciated but not required.
