Greenways Ride

Join us for a bike ride to learn about the Pasadena Greenways! Pasadena has plans to add traffic calming to four neighborhood streets to make them safer for everyone, including people driving, walking, and biking. This ride will tour some of the planned greenways with a member of Pasadena DOT staff to discuss the project.

Meet at Playhouse Village Park, 701 Union Street, in Pasadena. You must sign a waiver when you arrive. Be sure to bring water and sunscreen!

The route will be about 10 miles with 300-400 feet of elevation. This is a family-friendly event. Kids are welcome as long as they can ride a bike without training wheels and maintain a social pace around 10 MPH. No one will be dropped.

This event is free for all participants. RSVP's are required as we need a good head-count and space is limited. All participants should bring a bike in good working order (e-bikes are welcome).

Approximate Schedule

3:00 PM - Meet at Playhouse Village Park

3:30 AM - Roll

5:30 PM - Return to Playhouse Village

What Is Needed for the Ride

• A bike in good working condition. If you haven't ridden your bike in a long time, we suggest taking it to a local bike shop for a safety check or tune up.
• Helmets are recommended for all and required by law for anyone under 18.
• Water and snacks for the ride.
• A spare tube that fits the size of your tires.

Parking

We encourage you to ride to the event start location. If you are driving, there is limited street parking in the area and limited paid parking at Playhouse Village Park. Other paid parking is available in the area. Please do NOT park at Vroman's.
