About the event

Public Art Installation - Adopt a Hydrant Sculpture
The Town of Portugal Cove–St. Philip’s, in partnership with the Pouch Cove Public Art Committee, invites you to a special event celebrating the installation of a public sculpture on Thursday, July 10th from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the PCSP Recreation Centre.

Adopt a Hydrant, by artist Connor MacKinnon, was originally displayed in Pouch Cove from October 2023 to October 2024. It will now be exhibited for 12 months in Portugal Cove–St. Philip’s as part of a public sculpture rotation program, an initiative of the Pouch Cove Public Art Committee.

Join us to welcome the sculpture, meet the artist, and learn more about this collaborative approach to bringing contemporary art to communities.
