What does this workshop cover?
Jeans and denim are a fashion favourite for so many of us. And whatever the style, from boot cut to
flared jeans, denim shirts and jackets, we all have our favourite piece of well loved denim. In this mending denim workshop, we invite you to bring along a well loved denim item, in need of
repair, if you don’t have one, denim fabric will be provided.
We will look at patching and stitching , how to patch hems and repair holes or tears
around pockets. Denim can be tricky to sew due to the weight of the fabric, but with guidance, we hope to show you how to keep your denim looking great and for you to keep on wearing it.
What you will need – a denim item in deed of repair/scrap denim pieces.
What you need to bring
A denim item in need or repair or scrap pieces of demin.
Sewing machine – if you wish to borrow one please let us know on booking.
Denim needles
Basic sewing kit – sharp sewing scissors, tape measure, pins etc.
Who the workshop is suitable for
This is a great workshop for someone who can use a sewing machine, for example if you have completed our getting to know your sewing machine workshop.

Our very own Morgan who is a very experienced dressmaker.
Other things you need to know
All workshops are run at LilyBoo, Lostwithiel on the upstairs floor. There is a steep flight of stairs up to the workshop area but once there you will have everything you need, from a small kitchen for tea and coffee along with a bathroom. The workshops at LilyBoo have bought together people for a chat, to learn something new and there is always lots of laughter.
