Documentary: "I didn't see you there"

Join us for a screening of the critically acclaimed documentary "I Didn’t See You There" from Bay Area filmmaker and wheelchair user Reid Davenport in honor of Disability Pride month. Winner of Sundance Film Festival - U.S. Documentary Directing Award, Davenport brings an urgently needed storytelling eye to filmmaking with this powerful and emotional piece.

As a visibly disabled person, Davenport sets out to make a film about how he sees the world. Informed by his position lower to the ground, Davenport is able to capture indelible. With the camera pointed away from himself, he captures the personal and poetic from his wheelchair. Unflinching, "I didn’t see you there" forces the viewer to confront the spectacle and invisibility of disability.
