David De Maine:
“Finding Lesley Carter’s Birth Parents - Be careful what you wish for.”
Lesley was born in February 1949, and adopted by Muriel and Graham Diggens.

David, our speaker, is from Hawke’s Bay. He says it took 6 months from Lesley not knowing who her birth parents were to completing both her paternal and maternal birth family. They had some genealogical/ genetic luck along the way.

David has been researching his family history for the last 15 years and became hooked on DNA in 2018 when he found his paternal grandfather.

All are welcome to our meetings. There is a Visitor Fee- $5
