BENT HORSESHOE PRESENTS Freddie Flash and the Firebirds on Friday 12th September at 7.30 at a cost of $30
This will be a great evening of Rock and Roll with a 6 piece band.
I will keep plenty of space at the back for a dance floor.
This band will have a great full sound with even a sax player.
These guys are all well seasoned musicians playing in many different bands and getting together for special events.
Many of you will know Ted Frickleton who has been drumming and teaching drums for many years.
This will be one of his last gigs in Palmerston North as he feels its time to hang up his sticks.
He will be missed on the local music scene as he was one of the most versatile drummers around being able to play any style of music..
Will be a great night for dancing and having a good time.
“Freddie Flash and the Firebirds” is a band focused on paying tribute to the many artists of the Rock ‘n’ Roll, and Rhythm & Blues genre. We feature songs by Lesley Gore, Brenda Lee, Connie Francis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Bill Hayley and the Comets, and many more. We are a 6 piece band that plays totally live, no loops , backing tracks or gadgets. All vocals are live, with real instruments featuring guitar, bass, piano, drums and sax. It's time to relive the 50’s and 60’s era when going out to dance to a live band was the most fun thing to do. Band personnel are: Fred Loveridge (guitar, vocals), Murray ’Dusty’ Loveridge (bass, vocals), Kevin de Lacy (keyboards, vocals) Kerry O’Sullivan (lead vocals), John Steedman ( saxes, vocals), and Ted Frickleton (Drums).
