Grape to Glass - Mahi Sauvignon Blanc Masterclass at Local Cafe

Join Village Wines and Mahi for a tasting with a difference at LOCAL Cafe.

This is a deep dive into the wonderful world of serious Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with, Mahi Wines owner Brian Bicknell, one of the winemakers that put this amazing style on the International map.

The tasting will begin with a nibbles and a splash of Mahi Pinot Gris and then a tasting of two finished wines, the current vintage of the iconic 2024 Mahi Marlborough Sauvingon Blanc and a aged example of a single vineyard wine, 2019 Mahi 'The Alias' alongside Mahi Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Next we will taste through three flights of Sauvignon Blancs in which we will explore different parts of the winegrowing and making:

- Vineyard and Site Expression

- Wild vs Cultured Yeast

- Old vs New Barrels

You'll then be split into groups to blend the best 2025 Mahi Sauvignon Blanc as judged by the our team.
