Danny Jonokuchi & The Revisionists are “today’s premier swing band” (Broadway World), electrifying audiences from the heart of New York City with their vibrant, joy-filled sound. Driven by an infectious love of swing dancing, their music has been praised as “smile-inducing” (DownBeat) and “crisp, clean, and refreshingly joyful” (The Syncopated Times).

Winners of the inaugural Count Basie Great American Swing Contest, the band’s award-winning version of “One O’Clock Jump” was featured on Late Night Basie alongside jazz greats paying tribute to the Count himself. Their 2022 album Together Again, released after headlining Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City Festival, celebrates their first return to the studio post-pandemic—fusing remote and in-person recordings across 24 musicians. Their debut album, Let Me Off Uptown (2019), pays homage to swing legends like Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday while introducing standout originals and showcasing powerhouse vocalist Alexa Barchini, described as “a star in the making” (Syncopated Times).

The Revisionists have ignited dance floors across iconic venues including Lincoln Center, The Rainbow Room, Dizzy’s Club, The MET, MOMA, Sony Hall, and the Ziegfeld Ballroom. They’re favorites at top-tier swing events like ILHC, ALHC, NYLX, Beantown Dance Camp, and The Gotham Jazz Festival.
