Sketch n' Sweat @ Devon community sauna !
Sweat n' Sketch is an opportunity to draw eachother, be drawn, or just get a bit creative in the sauna!
No experience is necessary to come join this perfect crossection of relaxation and fun! Bring your friends or just yourself for the chance to draw eachother, or the beautiful view in the heat of our lovely Paignton sauna. Sweat n' Sketch is in playful collaboration with the elements that helps to relax our minds and allows us to ease into the heat.
A few things to note:
(1) it is not a nude event: as it is a public space, bathing suits are required
(2) Everyone can be both artist and model: the sauna is a place that breaks down barriers - including the one between artists and models! Together well be able to flow between the position of drawing and being drawn (sometimes both at the same time!)
(3) there is no such thing as perfect art: in the sauna we're working with sweat, heat, movement and unpredictability, I welcome everyone to get out of their heads and into their bodies, as we create together!
We will spend an hour in the sauna and have time and space after for tea and reflections. All materials will be provided, just bring yourself, your towels, your swimmers and a mug for tea!
