TCV Scotland

23 events

The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) involves a wide range of participants in activities to protect and enhance our local greenspaces and biodiversity whilst also learning new skills, improving your physical and mental health, engaging with your community, and meeting like-minded people.TCV Scotland organises a diverse range of training courses and learning opportunities covering practical conservation skills, habitat management, group leadership and organisation, nature-based arts and crafts, wildlife identification and citizen science. Training participants include interested individuals and students looking to brush-up on their environmental knowledge and experience, and members of community groups keen to use newfound skills to enhance their local environment.Listed below are our upcoming training courses and learning opportunities.TCV Scotland activities, including our ‘in-person’ training events have been seriously affected by Covid-19. However, we have managed to provide some learning opportunities online, a trend that is likely to continue in the future. We hope to resume ‘normal service’ across all our activities as soon as possible.Supported by NatureScot

Scottish Manual Handling Forum (SMHF)

1 events

The Scottish Manual Handling Forum was formed in November 2000. It meets annually in venues around Scotland. It evolved from a gradual amalgamation of two previous groups; the central Scotland group of the National Back Exchange and the Lanarkshire Moving and Handling Advisor Network. It comprises moving and handling professionals from the NHS, local authorities, education sector and the private sector. In June 2006 the Forum voted unanimously to progress towards becoming an affiliated group of the National Back Exchange.   Website   Facebook   Twitter
