Music Session & Bal Folk

Join us for an afternoon of folk music and social dancing on the Kapiti Coast!

Where: Paekākāriki Memorial Hall
98 The Parade, Paekākāriki

When: Sat 28 June 2025 - 1:30 to 5pm

1:30pm to 2:30pm (free)- Join our band for a casual tune session: open to any musicians who wants to discover some Balfolk tunes.
3 to 5pm: Bal Folk, social dancing
Dances will be called and beginners are welcome to join.
$15 - koha for students, concession or unwaged (cash or bank transfer)

What: Balfolk is a folk dance and music movement from Europe that gives new life to traditional dances. A ‘Bal Folk’ is a social dance event that brings people of all ages and walks of life together through group and partner dances to have fun and connect. It's a friendly, social and energising space.
