This session will help you understand what it means to be trans or gender diverse, learn key terminology including pronoun use, and recognise the challenges young people may face, from bullying and discrimination to mental health and family pressures. You’ll gain practical strategies for supporting trans and gender diverse young people in education, youth services, social care, or community settings, while also understanding your legal responsibilities under the Equality Act and how to respond to transphobia or hate incidents.
