Sound Meditation Immersion Summary
1. Comfort is Key
Bring a yoga mat plus extra cushioning (pillows, blankets, sleeping bag, etc.) to lie down comfortably for extended periods. Eye masks and essential oils can deepen relaxation.
2. Stay Hydrated
Bring a water bottle. Hydration supports brain function and helps re-ground after meditation. Arrive well-hydrated and use the restroom before the session.
3. Eye Mask (Optional but Helpful)
Blocks out light, reduces distractions, and enhances focus. Can be infused with essential oils for a multi-sensory experience.
4. Bring a Journal
Capture insights, emotions, or memories post-session. Not a writer? Use audio or video notes. Journaling helps process and extend the benefits of the experience.
5. Dress Comfortably
Wear loose, layered clothing for comfort and temperature regulation. Bring a blanket if needed.
6. Arrive Early
Show up 15–30 minutes before the start to settle in and avoid disrupting others. Sessions may be closed to latecomers once they begin.
7. Set an Intention
Think about what you hope to gain from the experience. Even vague or evolving intentions can provide focus or insight during meditation.
8. Keep an Open Mind
Each person's experience is unique. Let go of expectations and allow the sound to guide your internal journey.
9. Eat Lightly
Have a light meal beforehand to avoid discomfort. Avoid heavy or gassy foods. Water and light nourishment support your brain’s needs during meditation.
10. Respect the Space
Turn off your phone completely. Silence and stillness are essential to maintaining a peaceful, communal environment.
11. Sessions Are All-Ages (if respectful)
Anyone who can stay quiet and still for the full session is welcome. This is a meditative, not social or musical, experience.
