Oxfordshire Robot Combat Society (ORCS) presents ORCS9!
This is the third of four (3/4) events in the 2025 league!
We return once again to our fantastic hosts The Tap Social Movement in Oxford for more Antweight mayhem!
As a reminder for the style of event we are striving for: it's meant to be casual and competitive in equal measure, with the emphasis on stick time. Good sportsmanship is valued. We are rookie-friendly and actively encourage new entrants.

https://bbb.gd/aws
**Power switches and locking bars for spinners are mandatory this year.**
NOTE: The 150mm square size limit doesn’t apply
NOTE: The arena is changing this year! A little. In 2024 we had two sides with twin drop-offs. This year one of those sides will have a 1cm tall barrier across the drop-offs, the other will remain unchanged. This intended to reduce the number of fights which are lost to a simple driving error, which, whilst a legitimate way to lose, isn't a great way to win.
*SIDE EVENT*
Speedway! Robot racing. Except you're driving opposite ways around the track, and it's only 1 robot wide ;) 150mm at the narrowest, so don't make a bot wider than that. We encourage you strongly to participate!
*The League* (Of Extraordinary Robots)
2024 was a great year for the inaugural league, with a tight finish. There will be some small changes this year - your best 3 events of the year will count towards your final ranking. There will be 4 events total. We hope you'll come to all 4, but sometimes life gets in the way of robot destruction so we wanted to give a little flexibility.
