Heroes on Main: Oxford’s Hometown Veterans Celebration

We're proud to honor our hometown heroes with 44 veteran banners along Choccolocco Street and Main Street in historic downtown Oxford, Alabama. Displayed from Memorial Day through Veterans Day, these banners will celebrate our local veterans.

Join us for the special unveiling ceremony, "Heroes on Main: Oxford's Hometown Veteran Ceremony." We will meet at Simmons Park on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 10:30 AM.

Speakers will include:
• Cindy Lett Williams- President of the Oxford Arts Council
• Hunter Gentry- Director of Historic Main Street Oxford
• Mayor Alton Craft- City of Oxford

After the ceremony, Alabama Rain with Ryan Robertson will perform at Simmons Park. Attendees are encouraged to explore and support local downtown businesses for lunch and shopping.
