Distance: approx. 3.6 km / 2.24 miles
Duration: 2 hours approx (with a refreshment break)
Start and finish point: Green Space at the Hythe Bridge Entrance to The Oxford Canal, Hythe Bridge Street, Oxford, OX1 2EW (what three words ///pack.boat.scan)
Pace: Leisurely
The walk, run by Canal & River Trust, will be led by volunteer walk leaders who are full of interesting information about the local area.
A leisurely afternoon circular walk. We take the Oxford canal towpath to the Isis bridge and lock where we follow the Sheepwash channel to the Thames riverside path.
A refreshments and toilet break at the The Medley, Oxford, a pop up pub on the Thames river bank.
We cross Port Meadow to Walton Well road where we rejoin the canal towpath back to Hythe bridge.
This is a leisurely walk which allows time to stop and take photos, take in the local wildlife and generally enjoy the well-being effects of being by water.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join the walk, but must be kept on the lead at all times.
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
The great thing about walking is that you do not need any fancy equipment. Please just wear comfortable shoes and bring some water.

Parents and Guardians are required to accompany their children on this walk.
Walk ins will not be accepted. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or please get in touch with us to allow another person(s) a chance to take part.
ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION
Please note that the Thames Path and the Oxford canal towpath are level and flat, but there are two hump back bridges to cross. The sheepwash channel towpath passes under the railway with low headroom.
The walk is not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs.
