Lula's Ethiopian and Eritrean Cuisine
21 Park End Street, Oxford, United Kingdom
Join us for an evening of food, conversation, and inspiration as we explore what it takes to bring community hubs to life.
Annie Davy and Makena Lohr, co-founders of Flo’s – The Place in the Park in East Oxford, will be leading this interactive supper event for anyone interested in building thriving, community-led spaces.
Together, Annie and Makena have supported the development of numerous community initiatives, and are currently working with Oxfordshire County Council on community wealth building and with grassroots organisations across the UK.
Hear the real stories and discover the “what ifs” and unseen drivers behind successful community action. Expect shared reflections, thought-provoking discussion, and a free meal from Lula's Ethiopean Cuisine in the company of others working in the space.
Whether you’re just beginning a community project, part of an established initiative, or just curious, come and share food, stories and sparks of possibility.
This event is part of Makespace Oxfordshire’s Common Futures programme, a series of public workshops and events designed to foster connection, creativity, and collective imagining ahead of the opening of our new civic space on George Street.
The venue has wheelchair access via a side entrance. Please contact YWxleCB8IG1ha2VzcGFjZW94Zm9yZCAhIG9yZw== if you require access via this route. Inside, the space is level and has a wheelchair-accessible toilet.
