Walking Tour - 1966: The Year of Swinging London

It was 1966 and London was exploding with new, young, cutting edge movements in music, fashion, film and photography. America’s Time magazine called London “the swinging city”! And England won the football World Cup! However, there was also homelessness, poverty, rising crime and protests against American action in Vietnam.

The walk includes the iconic Carnaby Street, some of Soho’s music clubs, Hendrix's house and a site of violent anti-Vietnam war protests.
